Family Style Snack Time.
Butterfly Hill provides the food for snack time each day. During snack time children are offered foods from at least two different food groups in order to provide a variety of nutrients. While snack time is vital to nourish our active students, it also provides learning opportunities when enjoying the time together at the table with their classmates. A snack will be served midway through each morning, as well as midway through each afternoon. Any student with an allergy, or food sensitivity, will receive a similar, alternative snack following the guidance of the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) and medical provider.
On-Site Allergy Alert.
Please keep in mind the allergy alert at our school. We will not have the following foods on site due to a life threatening allergy:
Cashews, Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Hazelnuts including Nutella, Pecans, Pistachios, Walnuts, Shrimp
Peanuts and peanut butter ARE OK to have on site!
While we know to not include these allergens in our snacks, we include this information here for you to keep in mind when packing your preschooler’s lunch.
