Welcome! We are so glad you are here. If you are new to Butterfly Hill Nature Preschool, we invite you to schedule a time to tour our school. Please email Julie at julie.bhnp@gmail.com to set up a time to visit.

On your tour you will be able to see our indoor and outdoor classrooms, meet our teachers, and learn more about what a day at Butterfly Hill looks like. Your soon to be preschooler is welcome to attend with you, although this is not required. Please note that touring our school is required prior to registering. A tour is the best way to learn all about Butterfly Hill in order to determine if our nature-based and play-based preschool is the best fit for your child!

Registration for Summer 2024 AND/OR School Year 2024-2025 is now open. Please be sure to scroll down to read all the information on this page prior to registering. Helpful Hints are listed below the registration button to help you move through the entire registration process.

Summer 2024 and School Year 2024-2025

Registration Helpful Hints

For a more streamlined registration experience, you will want to move through the registration process using a computer rather than the Brightwheel app on a mobile device.

When you click on the link above to register, you will be prompted to sign up for an account in Brightwheel. Brightwheel is the platform we use for family communication, as well as tuition payments. Setting up your Brightwheel account is a brief process at this point. You will be prompted to finish setting up your Brightwheel account at a later step in the registration process. If you already have a Brightwheel account for another school, be sure to link your preschooler to Butterfly Hill in Brightwheel. You will be able to have your child in Brightwheel for both schools.

Next, you will fill out the Registration Request form. On this form you will indicate your preferred class for Summer 2024 AND/OR School Year 2024-2025. Please note that this form requires a Yes or No response for each class option before it will let you submit. If you are registering for both Summer 2024 and School Year 2024-2025, you will select Yes for two class options. If you are registering more than one child, you will need to fill out a separate Registration Request form for each child. When you submit this form, it will be time stamped since we fill our classes on a first come, first serve basis. If you are registering more than one child, the date and time the first child’s Registration Request is submitted will be used for both children if you register them on the same day.

Important to note: This online registration form is a registration request only, not a guarantee of class placement. Please continue reading to learn about how you will be informed about class placement.

This now completes Step 1 of the registration process.

I have registered, now what?

After you submit your Registration Request, watch your email for a Class Placement message confirming what class your child will be in, as well as the next steps in the registration process. This email should arrive within one week of submitting your Registration Request.

The rest of the steps in the registration process will take place in Brightwheel. It will help you to know when to complete each future step if you have notifications for Brightwheel turned on for your mobile device. You will receive a notification from Brightwheel when it is time to complete Steps 2, 3, and 4 in the registration process. Remember that although you will receive a notice on your phone when it is time to complete the next step, these steps will need to be completed on a computer rather than through the Brightwheel app on a mobile device. When you receive notifications to complete future steps in the registration process, go to mybrightwheel.com and login to your Brightwheel account. Select Forms and Requests. You will find documents to fill out there.

Step 2: You will receive an invitation from Brightwheel to set up your method of payment in your Brightwheel account. All tuition payments must be paid through your checking account on file in Brightwheel. Families do NOT incur an additional fee to have tuition automatically withdrawn each month.

Step 3: You will receive a notification from Brightwheel when it is time to complete Step 3. In Brightwheel, under the Forms and Requests heading, you will find an Enrollment Contract and our Parent Handbook. You will be able to read both documents in Brightwheel. The Enrollment Contract must be signed and submitted in Brightwheel within one week of receiving it. Your 5% deposit(s) and registration fee(s) will be automatically withdrawn from your account on file once we receive your Enrollment Contract. Completing these steps tells us your intentions of accepting this spot at Butterfly Hill Nature Preschool. Your child’s spot is guaranteed once we receive the Enrollment Contract. If we do not receive the Enrollment Contract within one week, the space will be forfeited and offered to the next family on the waitlist.

Step 4: You will receive another notification from Brightwheel when it is time to complete the final step in the registration process. In Brightwheel, under the Forms and Requests heading, you will find a list of forms to read. Some of these forms must be filled out, signed, and submitted via Brightwheel before your child is able to attend Butterfly Hill. These forms are required by licensing to be on file for each student before they can attend school.

Congratulations! This completes the registration process and your soon to be preschooler is ready to begin their early childhood education at Butterfly Hill Nature Preschool.

Finally…

One month before your child’s session begins, you will receive a Welcome Packet filled with information to help you and your child feel ready for our first day together. In the meantime, be sure to check out our website for videos and photos that can help your child get acclimated to their new school, as well as to read about other helpful information for families to know.
