Welcome! We are so glad you are here and look forward to helping you learn more about our nature preschool. We invite you to email Julie at butterflyhillnaturepreschool@gmail.com to schedule a time to tour our nature preschool. During your tour you will be able to see our indoor and outdoor classrooms, meet our teachers, and learn more about what a day at Butterfly Hill looks like. Your soon to be preschooler is welcome to attend with you, although this is not required. Please note that touring our school is required prior to registering. Visiting our school is the best way to learn about Butterfly Hill in order to determine if our nature-based and play-based preschool is the best fit for your child!
Registration for Summer 2025 AND/OR School Year 2025-2026 is now open. Please be sure to scroll down to read all the information on this page prior to registering. Helpful Hints, as well as registration timelines, are listed below the registration button to help you move through the entire registration process.
Summer 2025 and School Year 2025-2026
Registration Helpful Hints
For a more streamlined registration experience, you will want to move through the registration process on a computer rather than a mobile device.
When you click on the link above to register, you will be prompted to sign up for an account in Brightwheel. Brightwheel is the platform we use for family communication, as well as tuition payments. Setting up your Brightwheel account is a brief process. Please take a moment to enter your contact information in your parent portal when setting up your Brightwheel account. Entering your contact information now will streamline completing your forms later in the registration process. If you already have a Brightwheel account for another school, be sure to link your preschooler to Butterfly Hill in Brightwheel. You will be able to have your child in Brightwheel for both schools.
Next, you will fill out the Registration Request form. On this form you will indicate your preferred class for Summer 2025 AND/OR School Year 2025-2026. Please select the one class option you most prefer for summer and/or school year sessions. If your first choice for either summer or school year is full, we will contact you to determine your second preference.
If you are registering for both Summer 2025 and School Year 2025-2026, you will select Yes for two class options. If you are registering for both summer and school year, you are not required to choose the same class option for both sessions.
Please note that this Registration Request form requires a Yes or No response for each class option before it will allow you to submit it.
If you are registering more than one child, you will need to fill out a separate Registration Request form for each child.
After you submit the Registration Request, there is nothing else you need to do in the registration process until you receive the Class Placement email. You can anticipate receiving this email within one week of registering.

I registered! Now what?
After you submit your Registration Request, watch your email for a Class Placement message confirming what class your child will be in, as well as the next steps in the registration process. This email will arrive within one week of submitting your Registration Request.
You will receive an invitation from Brightwheel to set up your method of payment in your Brightwheel account. All tuition payments must be paid through your checking account on file in Brightwheel. Families do NOT incur an additional fee to have tuition automatically withdrawn each month.
After you receive the Class Placement email, the New Student Admission Packet will be placed in the Forms and Requests section of your child’s Brightwheel account. If you have notifications turned on for Brightwheel they will notify you when this packet is ready for you to complete.
The New Student Admission Packet is due within one week of receiving it. Your 5% deposit(s) and registration fee(s) will be automatically withdrawn from your account on file once we receive your New Student Admission Packet. Completing this packet tells us your intentions of accepting this spot at Butterfly Hill Nature Preschool. If we do not receive the New Student Admission Packet within one week, the spot will be forfeited and offered to the next family on the waitlist.
Once the New Student Admission Packet is submitted, your child’s spot(s) in our upcoming session(s) is/are secured.
Upon submission of the New Student Admission Packet, the final forms to complete the registration process will be placed in your child’s Forms and Requests section in Brightwheel. All forms in our admission packets are required to be submitted prior your child’s first day of their upcoming session, including the Health Care Summary to be completed by their medical provider.
Finally…
About one month before your child’s session begins, you will receive a Welcome Packet filled with information to help you and your child feel ready for our first day together. In the meantime, be sure to check out our website for videos and photos that can help your child get acclimated to their new school, as well as to read about other helpful information for families to know.
