Outdoor Gear Rental Program

The most important school supply you will get ready for your nature preschooler is their outdoor gear and we want to help you with this task! Butterfly Hill has an Outdoor Gear Rental Program in place to help your child be ready for outdoor play in all kinds of weather. While this rental program is optional, there are many benefits to utilizing it. If you rent outdoor gear from us, your kiddo will always have clean and dry items to wear, and no matter how much your child grows this year, they will always have the next size available for any item you rent. The items we have to rent are some of the best items available for outdoor play. Keeping dry, warm, and comfortable while outside is vital in keeping outdoor play fun and impactful for your child.

You can choose to rent one, two, or all three of the items we have available to rent:

Mittens $20 per year:  We have mittens for all types of weather – light-weight mittens, water resistant mittens, and warm winter mittens. If you sign up for the mitten rental, your child has access to all of these mittens.

Bogs Boots $20 per year:  These boots are rated to -30 degrees and are simply the best boots out there! They are easy to slip on independently, keep feet warm, and also serve as mud boots through the spring and fall.

Oaki Rain/Mud Suits $20 year:  These are full body, light-weight suits that kiddos wear to stay dry when playing in the rain, or during the wet spring thaw. They also keep the mud off clothes!

Each fall we send information home about our Outdoor Gear Rental Program, along with an order form. If you would like to rent any of the above items, you can turn in the order form when your preschooler begins their school year session at Butterfly Hill.
